Job summary

Foundation Health Partners in Fairbanks, AK seeks a Registration Representative for the Vascular department. You will greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and schedule diagnostics and procedures, serving as the first point of contact in a fast paced clinic.

The role includes mentoring team members, resolving registration or scheduling issues, ensuring accurate records, and collaborating with clinical staff to optimize patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of medical clerical experience.
• Ability to float within two or more clinical areas.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance/payor rules.
• Strong communication and multitasking in a busy medical office.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and scheduling duties: gather demographics, verify insurance, schedule diagnostics/procedures.
• Process STAT orders: scheduling, pre-registration, authorization, documentation in chart.
• Calculate, collect and post co-pays and payments as needed.
• Serve as point of contact for escalated patient concerns; resolve issues.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and leadership to optimize patient flow.
• Monitor and route voicemails; organize documents in RightFax.
• Mentor and train registration team; maintain waitlists and scheduling workflows.
• Support compliance with regulatory policies and contribute to reporting.
