Foundation Health Partners in Fairbanks, Alaska, seeks an experienced operations supervisor for registration, central scheduling, pre-registration and prior authorization. You will lead staff, ensure accurate scheduling, verify insurances, and maintain compliant medical records workflows.

The role emphasizes process improvement, teamwork, and delivering high-quality, cost-effective service to patients and providers while supporting budget goals and staff development.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business, hospital management, or related fields or equivalent education, experience and knowledge.
• Three or more years of medical office work including hospital registration and prior authorizations.
• Experience with office management and leadership in a healthcare insurance/billing setting; knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the operations and staff for the registration, central scheduling, pre-registration and/or prior auth areas.
• Sets goals, coaches, monitors, and corrects performance of staff; manages staffing schedules and timecards.
• Manages personnel actions including recruiting, new hire actions, interviewing and selection; participates in budgeting.
• Ensures accurate scheduling of tests and procedures; maintains effective patient and provider communications.
• Drives process improvement and coordinates special projects as assigned.
