The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is hiring a Patient Care Assistant for the Vascular ward at 70 Francis Street, Boston.

This onsite role supports patients with daily living activities under licensed staff, performs vital signs, documentation, and basic hygiene tasks, and helps with turning and repositioning patients. The position offers a $750 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires, requires good customer service, basic medical knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds; night shift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant certifications preferred
• 0–1 year patient care experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and strong patient/customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Proficient computer skills to work with electronic medical records

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living under licensed personnel.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
• Document in medical records accurately and timely.
• Assist with hygiene tasks and mobility (bathing, dressing, repositioning).
• Support patient comfort and report concerns to nurses.
