Qualifications

• Two years of clinical experience to include IV therapy.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• MSN preferred for advanced practice or leadership roles.

Responsabilités

• Inserts PICC line and mid-line IV catheters, verifies placement with x-ray and documents results.
• Monitors PICC/mid-line catheters, declotting, drug charges, and catheter discontinuation.
• Provides IV therapy instruction to nursing staff, students, physicians, patients and families.
• Engages in research and quality improvement studies related to IV therapy.
