Qualifications

• Prior softball playing and/or coaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, rules, strategies, and player development.
• Previous high school coaching experience preferred.
• Ability to teach and develop high school student-athletes with varying experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to support Head Varsity Coach and program philosophy.
• Completion of required district and MIAA coaching certifications prior to participation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Varsity Coach with organization and operation of the softball program.
• Plan and conduct organized practices focused on skill development and game prep.
• Provide instruction and feedback in individual and team settings.
• Support offensive, defensive, pitching, catching, baserunning, and situational instruction.
• Assist with game prep, scouting, film review, statistics, and other duties.
• Provide coaching during contests as assigned by Head Varsity Coach.
• Foster effort, accountability, respect, teamwork, and academic responsibility.
