Job summary

The Academy of the Holy Names in Tampa, FL, seeks an Assistant Rowing Coach to support the Head Rowing Coach in day-to-day operations of the rowing program.

You will help plan and conduct daily practices, mentor athletes, and assist with preparations for competitions and regattas, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. A background in strength and conditioning is a plus, and the position offers a coaching stipend.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching rowing or being an athlete in the sport is preferred.
• Strong communication and mentorship skills are essential.
• Ability to work with high school athletes and coordinate with the coaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Rowing Coach in planning and conducting daily practices.
• Provide athlete mentorship and support development of team members.
• Assist with preparing the team for competitions and regattas.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and athlete development.
• Support overall program operations and other duties as assigned.
• Background in strength and conditioning training is a plus.
• The position offers a coaching stipend.
