Job summary

The Academy of the Holy Names in Tampa, FL, seeks an Assistant Rowing Coach to support the Head Rowing Coach in day-to-day operations of the rowing program.

You will help plan and conduct daily practices, mentor athletes, and assist with preparations for competitions and regattas, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. A background in strength and conditioning is a plus, and the position offers a coaching stipend.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching rowing or being an athlete in the sport is preferred.
• Strong communication and mentorship skills are essential.
• Ability to work with high school athletes and coordinate with the coaching staff.

Responsibilities

Qualifications: Previous rowing experience as a coach and/or athlete is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Rowing Coach will work closely with the Head Rowing Coach to support the day-to-day operations of the rowing program. Assisting the Head Coach in planning and conducting daily practices. Providing athlete mentorship and supporting the development of all team members. Assisting with preparing the team for competitions and regattas. Promoting athlete development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Supporting the overall organization and success of the rowing program and performing other duties as assigned.

A background in strength and conditioning training is a plus. The position offers a coaching stipend.
