Job summary

Volunteers of America’s Senior Community Care of Michigan PACE in Lansing, MI is hiring a Van Driver. You will transport seniors to and from the PACE Center, ensuring safety and comfort while adhering to schedules.

This role offers a stable daytime Mon-Fri shift in a compassionate healthcare setting. Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid state driver’s license, and a Chauffeur’s License; at least one year of experience with frail and elderly individuals is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Chauffeur's License is required.
  • Valid Driver’s License in state of hire is required.
  • Minimum of one year experience working with frail and elderly.

Responsibilities

  • Transport Senior Community Care passengers safely according to the schedule.
  • Communicate schedule changes to dispatch to meet participant needs.
  • Operate vehicle safely in compliance with licensing regulations.
  • Complete daily required records (Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections, fuel purchases).

Pay Range:$18.05-$21.40
Schedule:Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-5:00 PM 40 Hours

What You Bring (Requirements)

  • Must have Chauffer's License
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver’s License in state of hire
  • Have a minimum of one year experience in working with the frail and elderly population.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Responsible for Senior Community Care passengers during transport, providing care in a manner which ensures participant satisfaction.
  • Follows assigned schedule, makes adjustments to meet unanticipated changes, while considering the needs of the participant and requirements of the PACE Center. Communicates these changes to dispatch.
  • Operates equipment safely and in compliance with vehicle licensing regulations.
  • Maintains and completes daily required records i.e., Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections, gasoline purchases.
