Job summary

ValvTechnologies, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an Industry Specialist to develop long-term vision and lead technical sales, quoting, and commercial support in partnership with field sales, engineering and project management.

You will craft quotations and marketing strategies for end-users, contractors and engineering firms worldwide, negotiate major valve contracts, and ensure conformance to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in O&G.
• Strong knowledge of process and severe service applications within the O&G markets.
• Understanding of valve and actuator manufacturing materials and applications.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and workflows.
• Ability to read, review, and interpret specifications and data sheets.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Customer-centric in style and behavior.
• Ability to work with end-users, representatives, and distributors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quotations and marketing strategies worldwide for end-users and major contractors.
• Negotiate and manage major strategic alliances and valve contracts.
• Review technical and commercial requirements of RFQs/contracts with profit emphasis.
• Consult with Engineering on configurations to meet capabilities and standards.
• Apply knowledge of codes and standards relevant to the industry focus.
• Address customer problems and questions in the field with Field Service support.
• Regularly follow up on all quotations.
