Job summary

Valmet in Houston seeks an Industry Specialist to drive technical sales and quotation activity as part of a cross-functional team. You will develop strategies, coordinate with field sales, engineering and project management to secure and grow engineered product sales worldwide.

In this role you will respond to customer inquiries, manage major contracts, and leverage process and valve knowledge to optimize quoting, design, and manufacturing efficiency while maintaining strong customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in O&G.
• Strong knowledge of process and severe service applications within the O&G markets.
• Understanding of valve and actuator manufacturing materials/products and how they apply to quoting, design and manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement specific quotations and marketing strategies for end-users and major contractors worldwide.
• Negotiate and manage major strategic alliances and valve contracts.
• Review technical & commercial requirements of quotes/contracts with emphasis on maximizing profit.
• Consult with Engineering on product configurations to ensure conformance to capabilities and standards.
• Know and apply relevant codes and standards for the industry focus.
• Handle customer problems, complaints, and questions in the field with the Field Service Department.
• Regularly follow up on all quotations.
