Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II (Valve Design) to own the valve design lifecycle for New Glenn propulsion from concept to flight qualification. Based in Seattle, you will lead design, analysis, development, and qualification of valves and associated components for the New Glenn vehicle.

You will collaborate across teams, perform fluid/therm/structural analyses, and ensure designs meet weight, cost, and safety requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years designing fluid, mechanical, or electromechanical systems for aerospace/high-reliability.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and FEA tools (ANSYS preferred).
• Engineering drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Knowledge of valves, regulators, accumulators, mechanisms, or pumps.
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee complete lifecycle of component systems from requirements to post-flight serviceability.
• Ensure cost, schedule, and performance targets are met.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to source and integrate components.
• Perform sizing, material selection, and analyses for pressure, vibration, temp, loads.
• Support fabrication, installation, and testing of flight hardware.
• Contribute to design, layouts, modeling, drafting, manufacturing, and test planning.
