Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to lead the design and qualification of next-generation component systems for our New Glenn rocket. You will work on valves, regulators, and mechanical devices essential to mission success.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical/aerospace engineering and 3+ years of high-reliability design experience, with Creo and ANSYS expertise and GD&T proficiency. Relocation is provided and travel may reach 10%.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
• 3+ years designing fluid, mechanical, or electro-mechanical aerospace systems.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and FEA tools (ANSYS preferred).
• GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and creating engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of valves, regulators, accumulators, mechanisms, or pumps.
• Strong collaboration and passion for safe human spaceflight.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee lifecycle of component systems from requirements to post-flight serviceability.
• Ensure costs, schedule, and performance targets are met through planning.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to source and integrate components.
• Perform sizing, material selection, and analyses for performance under loads.
• Support fabrication, installation, and testing of flight hardware.
• Contribute to all mechanical design aspects from layout to test planning.
