Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Value Stream Manager in Manhattan, KS to own the Value Stream P&L, drive Lean implementations, and lead a team to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly targets. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• P&L ownership experience preferred.
• Experience in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, HR management, inventory control and strategic planning.
• Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills.
• Ability to assess and develop individual and team skills.
• Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new goals.
• Serve as a role model promoting new ideas and positive change.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• LEAN process improvements/implementation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of Value Stream P&Ls including cost analysis and product line margin.
• Responsible for POP implementation and long term manufacturing strategies.
• Operational leadership including Lean implementation resulting in productivity gains.
• Meet with Value Stream Leaders regularly to foster continuous improvement.
• Lead Value Stream in daily operations and coordination with off-shift management.
• Promote continuous product flow and use of pull systems to balance workload.
• Maintain standardized work and safety compliance.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere and conduct regular team meetings.
• Coordinate cross-training for Value Stream associates.
• Develop future state value stream map with Division Staff and maintain improvement boards.
