Job summary

Generac is seeking a Value Stream Director to lead a multi-shift value stream, drive the Generac Manufacturing System, and partner across sites to deliver safety, quality, and customer-focused outcomes.

You will design and execute long-range staffing, training, and continuous improvement programs while aligning with corporate budgets and quarterly forecasts. Domestic travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of manufacturing operations and/or lean management experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on Lean implementation experience.
• Lean, Operations, or Supply Chain certifications.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in flow, Kanban, and PFEP methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across the value stream ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Champion continuous improvement by driving product flow and leveling workload across operations.
• Establish culture of problem-solving and accountability; deploy standardized work and countermeasures.
• Foster high-performing teams with coaching, performance management, and talent development.
• Develop tactical and strategic improvement plans aligned with long-term objectives.
• Drive successful New Product Introductions (NPI) within operations and support budgeting/forecasting.
