Job summary

Master Electronics is seeking a Value Add (VA) Assembly Assistant in Downers Grove, IL to bring electronic connector designs to life by following technical instructions and assembling a diverse range of products. You will assess part quality, inventory parts and tools, test finished products, and maintain a clean workspace in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in production/assembly, and familiarity with hand tools (Crimpers a plus).

  • 2+ years of experience in a production/assembly environment, distribution or related field required
  • Quality control experience in a production/assembly environment, preferred
  • Experience using hand tools (Crimpers a plus)
  • Sustain long term attention to detail
  • Role-related accuracy and task follow-through
  • Ability to change focus in an effective, timely and professional manner
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift and/or move, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Noise level may be loud in some areas of the production area
  • Ability to clearly communicate regarding work instructions
  • Ability to work well in time-sensitive situations where customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal
  • Team-oriented operating style with effective interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
