Job summary

CLA is a leading professional services firm seeking a Valuation Director/Manager to lead complex valuation engagements, including business enterprises, IP, and financial instruments. You will supervise and mentor Associates and Seniors, ensuring rigorous, defendable analyses and reports for clients across industries.

You will collaborate with Assurance and Tax teams, contribute to business development, and help drive innovations in valuation modeling and processes to strengthen client outcomes

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in valuation or a similar consulting practice/serviceing clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• ABV, ASA, CVA, or related designation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Proficiency with valuation standards and complex financial instruments.

Responsibilities

• Lead valuation projects involving business enterprises, intellectual property, intangible assets, and complex financial instruments.
• Oversee valuations of equity, debt, derivatives, and structured securities for regulatory, transactional, and litigation purposes.
• Provide technical expertise in diverse and complex valuation assignments, including economic damages, FCPA investigations, and white-collar crime defense.
• Review and approve valuation reports and financial models prepared by internal teams or external firms, ensuring methodological rigor and defensibility.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve valuation issues for clients.
• Deliver valuation support for forensic, litigation, and investigative assignments.
• Design and execute financial models to support litigation strategies and compliance assessments.
• Draft and review technical reports, exhibits, and expert testimony materials with precision and legal defensibility.
