Job summary

Omni Dallas Hotel is seeking a Valet Captain to manage front entrance operations, assist guests, and coordinate valet and bell staff to ensure a seamless arrival and departure experience. This role requires excellent guest service, a neat appearance, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities include directing traffic, loading luggage, and coordinating with Bellpersons to ensure timely service.

• Ensure valet flow and space for arrivals and luggage loading
• Coordinate vehicle drive with Bellpersons to ensure timely luggage delivery
• Conduct key audits at end of each shift
• Maintain front-of-house cleanliness and appearance
• Notify Front Desk of VIP arrivals when possible
• Assist with loading baggage for departing guests
• Maintain safe, organized work area and drive lanes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Overview:

The Valet Captain Represents the hotel at the main entrance by greeting guests in an enthusiastic and courteous manner. Maintains driveway traffic flow to allow main hotel entrance accessibility as well as to ensure ample space for passenger and luggage loading and unloading and offers luggage assistance to all guests.

Responsibilities:

• Provide our guests with an exceptional arrival and departure experience that makes them feel welcome.
• Engages the guest to provide superior guest service.
• Ensures the valets are staged to maximize the guest experience.
• Manages the traffic at the front of the hotel.
• Coordinates activity in the drive with the Bellpersons to ensure timely delivery of luggage and Valet of guest vehicles.
• Conduct key audit with the Valet team at the end of each shift.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the front of the hotel.
• Notifies the Front Desk and Guest Services of VIP arrivals whenever possible.
• Loads the baggage in the cars or taxis for departing guests.
• Maintains a clean and orderly appearance of the work area at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional customer service skills: smile, welcoming attitude, ability to engage and make a great first impression.
• Excellent grooming and body language to represent the Omni brand.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and stand the duration of an entire shift.
• Must be able to drive manual and automatic transmission.
• For insurance purposes, applicants must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have an excellent driving record.
• Must have a valid Texas driver's license.
• Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing to subject to a drug screen and MVR background check.
