Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine LLC in Tampa, FL is seeking a Casting - Chemical Process Operator for the 3rd shift. This role operates Eqx, DS, and SX vacuum furnaces to produce high-quality investment castings per engineering specs, with focus on safety, efficiency, and cost control.

You will read procedures, pre-check equipment, document melt logs, and assist with process improvements. Must have a high school diploma; US citizenship or permanent residency may be required by ITAR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Previous foundry related experience or college degree is a plus.
• In accordance with ITAR, US citizen or permanent resident status may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Equiax (Eqx), Directionally Solidified (DS) and Single Crystal (SX) vacuum furnaces to produce investment castings per customer specifications.
• Monitors casting cycles, checks equipment operability, and completes start-up procedures for vacuum furnaces.
• Performs equipment pre-checks, maintenance documentation, and safety procedures.
• Participates in cost improvement and scrap reduction initiatives.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and adheres to 5S principles.
• Supports training of new operators and process changes.
• Reports nonconforming molds and ensures adherence to engineering specifications.
