Job summary

Cetechs is seeking a Medical Support Assistant (MSA) to support VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System initiatives. You will serve as the first point of contact for Veterans, handling scheduling, patient communications, and medical record maintenance onsite at multiple Colorado VA locations.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and coordinated care with providers and clinic staff. A strong customer-service background and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required for success in a

Qualifications

• Six months or more of customer service experience.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Typing speed of at least 50 wpm.
• Proficient with computer and software applications.
• Clear communication in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments per VA guidelines.
• Greet Veterans and provide outstanding customer service at check-in.
• Answer and route calls professionally and courteously.
• Coordinate Community Care referrals and authorizations.
• Process consults using VA systems (HSRM, PPMS, CPRS, VistA).
• Update demographic, insurance, and emergency contact information.
• Maintain accurate patient records in VA electronic health record systems.
