Job summary

Posterity Group LLC is recruiting a Medical Coder to support The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. The coder will attach images to EHR elements, verify uploads, locate FINs, index records, and perform full QA before submission.

Candidates should have knowledge of medical clinics and clinical documentation and experience with Cerner/Oracle or similar EHR systems. Active coding credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or equivalent) are required, with 3+ years of relevant experience and

Qualifications

• Experience with VA or federal healthcare coding preferred.
• Strong data entry with high accuracy.
• Proficient with Cerner/Oracle or similar EHR systems.
• Knowledge of medical clinics and clinical documentation.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Active coding credential required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately attaching images to electronic health record elements.
• Verifying that images are uploaded correctly and are legible for viewing.
• Locating Financial Identification Numbers (FINs) and linking documents to veteran records.
• Indexing documents by section, note title, date of service, and visit location.
• Performing 100% internal QA on all work before submission.
