Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and comprehensive General Medicine exams in Iowa. You will review Veterans' records, document findings, and prepare detailed medical reports in line with VA guidelines.

Excellent communication and independent work style are essential. Flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN) and absence of on-call duties are highlighted benefits.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
Must have a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician where required by state law.
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
