Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Missouri to conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs. You will review medical histories, perform comprehensive assessments, and prepare precise medical reports in compliance with VA guidelines and HIPAA.

The role offers flexible scheduling (Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN) with no on-call requirements and no ongoing patient management, enabling autonomous practice within established protocols.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
