Job summary

DirectShifts seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA C&P General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines. You will review veterans' records, conduct thorough assessments, and prepare precise medical reports.

You will work with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations while maintaining HIPAA compliance and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently within clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
