Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations in Kentucky. The role involves reviewing veterans' medical history, performing comprehensive physicals, and completing DBQs in alignment with VA guidelines.

The candidate must hold an active NP or PA license with a collaborative agreement as required by state law, and demonstrate strong documentation and communication skills to produce accurate reports.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
