Job summary

Job Duck LLC is seeking a highly organized Bilingual Civil Litigation Paralegal to support a fast-paced legal team handling litigation matters and court-related processes. You will draft pleadings, motions, proposed orders, and correspondence while maintaining accurate case documentation and assisting with newly filed lawsuits.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to manage competing deadlines, and comfortable working independently with templates, training, and well-defined processes.

Qualifications

  • Fluent or highly proficient in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in a legal environment, preferably supporting litigation matters.
  • Civil litigation experience.
  • Experience with E-filing.
  • Experience supporting United States litigation matters.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, proposed orders, or other litigation documents.
  • Familiarity with United States litigation procedures and legal terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist with other litigation and legal administrative duties as assigned.
  • Communicate professionally with opposing counsel regarding litigation matters.
  • Notify judicial offices of relevant case developments, including settlements.
  • Create and maintain accurate contact information for judges and judicial assistants.
  • Maintain organized, complete, and accurate case files and documentation.
  • Communicate with judicial assistants regarding case questions, updates, and administrative matters.
  • Review newly assigned cases and identify the appropriate judge using the case number.
  • Prepare and send conferral emails to opposing counsel when required.
  • Draft initial pleadings and litigation-related documents using established templates.
  • Research and add judges to the case management system when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of litigation requests, communications, and follow-ups.
  • Complete E-filing activities accurately and within deadlines.
  • Assist with case setup after new lawsuits are filed.
  • Draft proposed orders, cover letters to judges, and court-related correspondence.
  • Prepare witness lists, exhibit lists, and other case documentation.
  • Support civil litigation and first-party property damage matters.
  • Draft motions to compel, including motions for deposition dates when needed.

Job Duck is seeking a highly organized and proactive Bilingual Civil Litigation Paralegal to support a fast‑paced legal team with litigation matters and court related processes. In this role, you will draft pleadings, motions, proposed orders, and correspondence while maintaining accurate case documentation and assisting with newly filed lawsuits. You will communicate professionally with opposing counsel, judicial assistants, court personnel, and internal team members while helping matters move forward efficiently.   • Draft motions to compel, including motions related to obtaining deposition dates when opposing parties are unresponsive or do not cooperate.
Requirements
  • Fluent or highly proficient in English and Spanish.
  • Previous experience working in a legal environment, preferably supporting litigation matters.
  • Civil litigation experience.
  • First‑party property damage experience.
  • E‑filing experience.
  • Previous experience supporting United States litigation matters.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, proposed orders, or other litigation documents.
  • Experience communicating with opposing counsel, courts, judges, or judicial assistants is preferred.
  • Familiarity with United States litigation procedures and legal terminology is preferred.
  • Formal paralegal certification or licensing is not required.

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
