Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a UXO Technician II to support a variety of munitions response actions and range clearance activities. Your work involves detection, identification, recovery, and disposal of UXO and MEC in diverse field environments.

The role requires operating magnetometers and other approved equipment, performing subsurface investigations, excavations, and disposal site preparation. Candidates must be a US citizen with 40-Hour HAZWOPER and willing to travel to field sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of EOD/UXO experience, including munitions response and range clearance.
• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with annual refresher training.
• US citizenship is required due to client requirements.
• Experience recognizing MEC and UXO in field environments.
• Knowledge of PPE and explosive safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconnaissance, identification, and classification of UXO and MEC.
• Conduct subsurface UXO investigations using magnetometers and approved equipment.
• Excavate and recover buried UXO using manual and mechanical methods.
• Locate surface UXO through visual inspection and field reconnaissance.
• Prepare disposal sites and support demolition operations.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements and project procedures.
