Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a UXO Technician II to support munitions response and range clearance tasks. You will detect, identify, recover, and dispose of UXO and MEC while following strict safety procedures in various field environments.

The role requires at least 3 years of EOD/UXO experience, HAZWOPER certification, and US citizenship. Travel to multiple project sites is expected, with emphasis on safety and precise documentation of field activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of EOD/UXO experience, including munitions response or range clearance.
• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with annual refresher.
• US citizenship required due to client requirements.
• Ability to travel and work safely in remote field environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconnaissance, identification, and classification of UXO and MEC.
• Conduct subsurface UXO investigations using magnetometers and approved equipment.
• Excavate and recover buried UXO using manual and mechanical methods.
• Locate and identify surface UXO through visual inspection and field reconnaissance.
• Maintain safe holding areas for recovered UXO and manage UXO storage.
• Prepare UXO disposal sites and support demolition operations.
• Assemble firing systems for UXO disposal and conduct controlled detonations.
• Adhere to explosive safety standards and site procedures.
• Support technical documentation, field reporting, and data collection.
