H&R Block, Inc. in Kansas City is offering the Embark 2027 Summer Internship for students in Design, UX Design, and Product Design. This 11-week paid internship runs May 17 to July 30, 2027 at our downtown KC headquarters, with housing stipend if far from KC metro.

You'll gain real-world experience and work on user-centered design projects. Under a design-led team, you will create flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes; conduct user research; collaborate with Product and Engineering;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required for internship.
• Pursuing a degree in UX Design, Graphic Design, HCI, or related discipline with GPA 3.0+.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Research customer needs and behaviors to identify opportunities.
• Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Help design accessible, customer-centered experiences from concept to implementation.
• Identify UX challenges and advocate for the user during product development.
• Present design concepts and rationale to team members and stakeholders.
