Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a UX Designer to translate creative direction into UI specifications and prototypes for Unreal Engine production work.

You will link design goals with engineering delivery, define interaction pathways, navigation, and component architecture across platforms, collaborating with engineers and UI artists.

You bring 2+ years of UI/UX experience, strong Figma skills, Unreal Engine UI knowledge, and comfort with localization, accessibility, and varied input methods.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of UI/UX experience with shipped digital products or gaming interfaces.
  • Proficient in Figma including components, variants, auto-layout, and developer handoff.
  • Experience designing UI for Unreal Engine (UMG) and understanding its constraints.
  • Awareness of localization, accessibility, and multi‑input navigation considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Set up UI flows, user journeys, and interaction pathways for in‑game features and screens; convert them into engineering specs.
  • Grow and maintain a versatile UI component system across patterns, components, variants, and states.
  • Draft behavioral standards for focus, navigation, input responses, errors, and edge cases.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers on the client side and UI artists to ensure practical, performant designs in the engine.
  • Direct ongoing polish by reviewing builds, giving feedback, and revising designs based on playtesting insights.

Our team is on the lookout for a UX Designer to join and support our ongoing initiatives. Translate creative and experience-based direction into functional UI specifications and prototypes designed for Unreal Engine production work.
