Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a UI Technical Designer to translate UX/visual direction into implementable UI specs and prototypes for Unreal Engine, bridging design and engineering across platforms and input methods.

You will contribute to UI flows, component system, and behavior rules; collaborate with client engineers and UI artists to ensure feasibility, performance, and in-engine consistency; iterate based on playtests and QA findings.

Qualifications

• Solid UI/UX foundation with 2+ years in digital products or game UI.
• Proficient in Figma with components, variants, auto-layout and handoff-ready docs.
• Ability to create implementation-ready documentation: layouts, notes, state diagrams.
• Understanding of Unreal UI constraints and UMG concepts.
• Experience designing responsive UI across resolutions and safe areas.
• Awareness of focus-based navigation and multi-input (controller + keyboard/mouse).
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Translate UX/visual direction into UI specifications and prototypes for Unreal Engine.
• Contribute to UI flows, interactions, navigation rules, and component standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and UI artists to ensure feasibility and performance.
• Review implementations, provide feedback, adjust designs based on QA findings.
• Document behavior rules: focus order, back behavior, input handling, error/loading states.
