Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC in Hickory, NC, is seeking a dedicated Coater Operator to ensure scheduled orders meet specifications established by Manufacturing, QA, R&D and Engineering, while upholding safety and quality in a collaborative team.

You will perform routine quality checks, participate in die changes, maintain clean work areas, and support continuous improvement initiatives to help deliver top-quality adhesive solutions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift
• Indirectly responsible for the safety of the crewmembers
• Perform quality and standard checks
• Participate in die changes as scheduled
• Complete appropriate data sheets as required
• Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Follow "Red Tag" procedures if required
• Follow all safety rules when entering the manufacturing facility
• Responsible for maintaining clean and organized work areas
• Maintain inventories needed for production run
• Communicate and share knowledge with operators and coworkers
• Make suggestions on reducing costs, improving safety, and/or improving product or process
• Participate in S4 continuous improvement team meetings and projects
