Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC in Hickory, NC is seeking a dedicated Coater Operator to ensure scheduled orders meet specifications while upholding safety, quality and efficiency in a team environment.

You will perform quality checks, assist with die changes, maintain clean work areas, and communicate with operators to reduce costs and improve processes. The role emphasizes hands-on manufacturing experience and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to read length measurements, gauges and meters.
• Knowledge of production schedules and basic math/data entry.
• May be required to obtain a tow-motor license.

Responsibilities

• Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift.
• Indirectly responsible for the safety of the crewmembers.
• Perform quality and standard checks.
• Participate in die changes as scheduled.
• Complete appropriate data sheets as required.
• Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Follow safety rules when entering the facility.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Maintain inventories needed for production run.
• Communicate and share knowledge with operators and coworkers.
• Suggest cost-saving and safety-improvement ideas.
• Participate in S4 continuous improvement team meetings and projects.
