Essential Job Duties

• Performing routine manual housekeeping work while cleaning various areas across campus.
• Cleaning, mopping, scrubbing, sweeping, and vacuuming floors, as well as stairwells and hallways.
• Cleaning lavatories, washing windows, moving furniture to thoroughly clean areas, and collecting and removing trash.

Work Schedule and Shifts

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week

Shifts Available:

• 4 AM – 12:30 PM, M – F

Minimum Experience/Education and Requirements

Minimum Experience: 6 months in Housekeeping.

Minimum Education: None specified; ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Physical Requirements: walking, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.

Skills: working knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning procedures, proper utilization of cleaning chemicals and supplies, ability to visually inspect work area to assure it has been cleaned.

Preferred: 6+ months professional cleaning experience.

Special Certification: may be required for some positions.
