UTS - Temporary Environmental Services at NC State

Temporary Environmental Services position at NC State. This role is part of University Temporary Services.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine manual housekeeping work cleaning various areas across campus.
• Clean, mop, scrub, sweep, and vacuum floors, stairwells, and hallways.
• Clean lavatories, wash windows, move furniture to thoroughly clean areas, and collect and remove trash.

Requirements and Preferences

• 6 months of experience in housekeeping or knowledge of cleaning procedures; ability to follow instructions and perform medium to heavy physical work (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Ability to visually inspect work area to assure it has been cleaned.
• Physical requirements: walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.
• 6+ months of professional cleaning experience strongly preferred.

Work Schedule

Shifts are available:

• 4 AM – 12:30 PM, Monday – Friday
• 8 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday
• 10:30 PM – 7 AM Sunday – Friday
