Job summary

North Carolina State University is seeking an experienced UTS - Development Events Coordinator to plan and execute donor and fundraising events for PBS North Carolina. The role requires strong coordination of venues, invitations, registrations, vendors, and on-site execution.

You will collaborate with Development and Marketing teams to ensure events align with PBS North Carolina branding and mission, delivering meaningful experiences for donors, prospects, sponsors, and community partners.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in event planning or event coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute donor, sponsor, community, and fundraising events.
• Coordinate venue, invitations, registration, vendors, and catering.
• Develop run-of-show and on-site support.
• Collaborate with Development and Marketing teams to reflect PBS North Carolina brand.
• Provide welcoming experiences for donors, prospects, sponsors, and partners.
• Support occasional evening and weekend events.

Position Details

Contract: Temporary

This role supports the PBS North Carolina Development team by planning, coordinating, and executing donor, sponsor, community, and fundraising events that strengthen relationships and advance philanthropic engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Venue coordination
• Invitations and registration
• Vendor and catering arrangements
• Run-of-show development-
• Event materials and guest communications
• On-site support
• Collaborate closely with Development colleagues, the Marketing team, and partners across PBS North Carolina to ensure events are well organized, reflect the PBS North Carolina brand and mission.
• Provide a welcoming and meaningful experience for donors, prospects, sponsors, and community partners.

This position is Hybrid (3 days on-site / 2 days remote)

Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm (occasional after hours events)

Minimum Experience & Education

4 years of experience in event planning or event coordination roles
