Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years' related construction/maintenance/repair experience.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
• Physically demanding outdoor work, heavy lifting and long hours possible.

Responsibilities

• Construct, operate, maintain, and repair the City's water distribution and wastewater collection and treatment systems.
• Inspect and maintain wells, reservoirs, pumping stations, meters, hydrants, chlorination equipment, and other utility infrastructure.
• Repair water mains, install service connections and valves, flush hydrants, operate wastewater pump stations, and maintain treatment plant equipment.
• Pavement cutting, ditch digging, pipe installation and repair, backfilling, grounds maintenance, meter reading, and operating construction equipment such as dump trucks, skid steers, compactors, pumps, compressors, and backhoes.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
• Field-based outdoor work, safety and teamwork are essential.
