Job summary

San Antonio Water System is seeking a Senior Utility Technician to perform skilled labor for the repair, construction, and maintenance of the water distribution and wastewater collection system. This position is full-time and requires a valid Texas Class A CDL and the ability to operate a range of heavy equipment.

In addition to the core duties, the role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliable performance in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Position requires passing a physical.
• Able to report to work on time with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Install pipes and fittings for water and wastewater systems.
• Operate dump trucks and crew trucks.
• Operate front-end loaders and skid loaders.
• Excavate and backfill trenches for repairs.
• Transport equipment and materials to/from job sites.
• Maintain safety procedures.
• Interpret maps.
• Assist with traffic control setup.
• Inventory tools and materials.
• Provide training on tool usage.
