Job summary

Aggreko, LLC in Pearland, TX is seeking a Utility Technician to join our service center. You will load and unload equipment, verify counts, prepare rental gear, and keep the yard clean while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma/GED and 0–3 years in a yard or warehouse, with excellent customer service and a proactive, reliable attitude. Full-time with overtime/weekend potential and strong training are offered.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Pearland, TX service center.
• Load and unload equipment and materials with large and small forklifts.
• Prepare and verify quality/accuracy of counts of rental equipment prior to delivery and arrival.
• Clean and put away rental equipment upon return to service center.
• Keep the jobsite, yard, and warehouse cleaned and up to safety standards.
• Drive inventory accuracy of rental equipment and accessories.
• Inventory cycle counts.
• Wash rental equipment.
• Inspect and repair cable.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience working in a yard or warehouse.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Other essential job requirements:

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices.
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level.
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders.
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.
