Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Technician 1 Power stationed at our Pearland, TX service center. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair power generators, diesel engines, HVAC, and oil-free air compressors.

The role includes occasional travel and overtime opportunities to support critical projects. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of generator experience, the ability to read schematics, and hold a High School diploma/GED.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Ability to read schematics and calculate nominal/effective kW requirements.
• TWIC or valid DOT medical card may be required based on customer needs.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 1 Power based in Pearland, TX.

What You'll Do

• You’ll be based out of our Pearland, TX. service center.
• You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and occasionally on customer locations and handle the repairs.

You Are

• High School diploma/GED
• 4+ years of experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Other Essential Job Requirements

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices.
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level.
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders.
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.
