Job summary

Aggreko, LLC is seeking a Power or HVAC Technician 2 for our Cibolo, TX service center. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, HVAC equipment, and related system components at customer sites and in the shop. Expect field work with local travel in your company vehicle.

You will be based in Cibolo and may operate equipment on customer sites in teams or independently, depending on the job. This role requires a high school diploma/GED and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• May need to obtain and maintain TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and at customer sites; perform repairs.
• Work solo or with a team to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Power or HVAC Technician 2 in Cibolo, TX.

You’ll work as a team or independently in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.

What you’ll do:

You’ll be based out of our Cibolo, TX service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors. Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs. You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED 2+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Other essential job requirements

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices.
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level.
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders.
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat.
