Job summary
Exelon is seeking a General Engineer to lead engineering efforts across utility infrastructure, including electric and gas distribution, transmission, and substations. You will develop engineering solutions, manage deliverables, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
The role requires broad utility knowledge, project oversight, and occasional extended hours during storms or emergencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or PE license (with required experience)
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and practices
- Experience with field test equipment and complex inspections
- Multiple career experiences and/or EIT or advanced degree options
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering assignments of moderate complexity with independent judgment
- Lead small engineering projects or tasks with cross-functional coordination
- Provide technical support for design, installation, and maintenance of systems
- Participate in evaluation and improvement of technical processes and projects
