Exelon is seeking a General Engineer - Substation Engineering to lead and support engineering efforts across utility infrastructure, including substations and related systems. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, develop designs, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

The role requires broad utility knowledge, delivering safe, reliable solutions, and may involve extended hours during storms or energy emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or PE licensure.
• Ability to analyze complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Knowledge of complex field test equipment.
• 4–7 years of professional engineering experience.
• Regulatory standards, codes and related practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead small engineering projects or tasks with cross-functional teams.
• Develop high-level scope, one-line diagrams, and preliminary designs for substations.
• Coordinate inputs from civil, structural and protection & control disciplines.
• Support engineering efforts to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Oversee field inspections and resolve technical issues.
