Job summary

Pepco is seeking a General Engineer to support engineering efforts across Exelon's utility infrastructure, including electric or gas distribution, transmission, substations, and related systems. The role involves developing engineering solutions, managing technical deliverables, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The position requires analyzing complex systems, leading small projects, and coordinating with stakeholders. It may require extended hours during energy delivery emergencies and storms.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Knowledge of complex field test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments of moderate complexity, exercising independent judgment under guidance.
• Leads small engineering projects or tasks, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet requirements.
• Provides technical support and consultation to engineering and operating groups for design, installation and maintenance.
• Participates in evaluation and improvement of technical systems and processes, contributing to project planning and implementation.
