Job summary
Exelon Corporation is seeking a General Engineer to lead and support engineering efforts across Exelon’s utility infrastructure, including electric or gas distribution, transmission, and substations. You will develop engineering solutions, manage technical deliverables, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
The role requires broad utility knowledge, coordination across departments, and may involve extended hours during energy delivery emergencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or PE license required.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
- 4-7 years of professional engineering experience.
- Knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, codes and advanced engineering principles.
- Two related career experiences or Engineer in Training or advanced degree.
- EIT certification or PE license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs engineering assignments of moderate complexity with independent judgment.
- Leads small engineering projects coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Provides technical support to design, installation and maintenance teams.
- Participates in evaluation and improvement of technical systems and processes.
