Job summary

Meriwether Godsey, Inc. is seeking a Utility Steward/Dishwasher for a full-time role at a prestigious boarding school in Andover, NH. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $19.50 per hour, with meals and uniforms provided.

Responsibilities include operating the dish machine, maintaining sanitation, and assisting in dining areas while following food-handling procedures to ensure safety. A background check and prior dishwashing experience are required. This position offers a dynamic, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Previous utility/dishwasher experience required.
• Ability to measure products and convert units of measure.
• Awareness of commercial kitchen equipment and how to perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Reliability and a willingness to work in a hot, humid environment.
• Good communication skills and a great attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans: scrape, separate, and organize items.
• Note and record dish-machine temperatures, reporting low temperatures or machine malfunctions immediately.
• Transport related supplies and assist in the setup of dining and serving areas.
• Clean dining and serving areas throughout and after the meal period and replenish to ensure service without interruption.
• Set up and use a three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removal of trash.
• Assist with receiving and storing food products and food preparation following correct food handling procedures to ensure food safety.
• Perform all duties according to food safety and sanitation best practices.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Salary Range: $17.00 To $19.50 Annually

Meriwether Godsey is looking for Utility Steward/Dishwashers at a coeducational, independent preparatory boarding school for grades 9-12 on 2,500 beautiful acres in Andover, New Hampshire.

What the Utility Steward/Dishwasher will do:
