Job summary

Meriwether Godsey, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Utility Steward in Holderness, NH to maintain sanitation across the kitchen, cafeteria, and dining areas of a private school.

The role requires Friday 2–8 pm and weekend shifts, with a pay rate of $18 per hour and a $250 sign-on bonus after 90 days. Ideal candidates have dishwashing and customer-service experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience (1 year preferred).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliability and strong work ethic.
• Able to work Friday 2-8pm, Sat/Sun 6am-noon.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing items.
• Record dish-machine temperatures and report issues.
• Transport supplies and assist in dining area setup.
• Clean cafeterias and replenish areas to ensure service.
• Set up and use three-compartment sink for washing pots and pans.
• Maintain kitchen and cafeteria sanitation, floors and trash.
• Assist with receiving and storing food safely.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Part TimeUtilityStewardresponsible for maintaining the sanitation of the kitchen, cafeteria, and dining room at a private, coeducational college-preparatory school in Holderness, New Hampshire.

• Must be available to work Friday 2 pm- 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday 6 am-noon
• $18.00 Per Hour
• Great Customer Service Skills and Food Handling Experience Preferred

$250.00 Sign-On Bonus (after 90 days of employment)

What the Utility Steward will do:

• Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans: scrape, separate, and organize items
• Note and record dish-machine temperatures, reporting low temperatures or machine malfunctions immediately
• Transport related supplies and assist in the setup of dining and serving areas
• Clean cafeteria areas throughout and after meal periods and replenish them to ensure service without interruption
• Set up and use three - compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and cafeteria areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removal of trash
• Assist with receiving and storage of food products and food preparation following correct food handling procedures to ensure food safety
• Perform all duties according to food safety and sanitation best practices
• Other duties, as assigned
  

What the Utility Steward will need:

• Prior dishwashing experience (1 year preferred)
• Strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility: the ability to switch between tasks and responsibilities as needed
• Reliability and a willingness to work in a hot, humid environment
• Ability to stand/move about for long periods and lift 25 lbs.
• Ability to adhere to company safety and sanitation procedures
• Good communication skills and great attitude
