Job summary

Meriwether Godsey, Inc. seeks a Utility Steward/Dishwasher at a private college preparatory school in Gill, MA. This is a full-time, on-site role with varied schedules and evenings required for dinner service.

You will operate the dish machine, help set up dining areas, and ensure food safety and sanitation while supporting a fast-paced kitchen team. You'll receive competitive pay, uniforms, meals, training, mentorship, and benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing items.
• Note and record dish-machine temperatures and report issues.
• Transport supplies and assist in dining area setup.
• Clean dining areas and replenish to ensure service continuity.
• Use three-compartment sink for pots and pans cleaning.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist with receiving and storing food, following safety procedures.
• Perform duties according to food safety and sanitation best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Meriwether Godsey is looking for Utility Steward/Dishwashers at a private co-educational college preparatory boarding and day school located in Gill, MA

• $19.00 Per Hour
• Full-Time
• Varied schedules with evenings required for dinner service
• Free Meals and Uniforms

What The Utility Steward/Dishwasher Will Do

• Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans: scrape, separate, and organize items
• Note and record dish-machine temperatures, reporting low temperatures or machine malfunctions immediately
• Transport related supplies and assist in the setup of dining and serving areas
• Clean dining and serving areas throughout and after the meal period and replenish to ensure service without interruption
• Set up and use a three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removal of trash
• Assist with receiving and storing food products and food preparation following correct food handling procedures to ensure food safety
• Perform all duties according to food safety and sanitation best practices
• Other duties, as assigned
