SunEnergySolar LLC is seeking a motivated Senior Utility-Scale Solar Estimator to join our team. The role focuses on developing accurate cost estimates for large-scale solar projects, coordinating with design, engineering, procurement, and operations to ensure constructability and competitiveness.

The Senior Solar Estimator leads pre-construction activities, interprets plans and specs, prepares pricing narratives, and supports proposals. Remote work with occasional site visits is possible.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years of proven experience in commercial solar estimation, construction estimation, or design.
• Experience estimating Utility-Scale Solar projects (electrical and mechanical).
• NABCEP PV Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months (if applicable).

Responsabilidades

• Lead self-perform mechanical and electrical estimates from RFP inception to handover.
• Manage bidding process including subcontractor solicitation and bid document management.
• Present estimates to executive leadership and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

TheSeniorSolarEstimatorwillleadvariousestimatesforprojectsintheRenewableEnergyMarketUtilityScaleSolar.Dutieswillinclude,butarenotlimitedto readingandinterpretingdocuments,subcontractorsolicitation,analyzingdrawingandspecifications,reviewing,andassistingwithproposalsandotherdocumentationtopreparedetailedcostestimatesforvariousprojects.

TheSeniorSolarEstimatorplaysakeyroleinthepre-constructionprocessbydevelopingaccurateandcompetitivecostestimatesthatsupportprojectfeasibilityandsuccessfulexecutionforourprospectivecommercialcustomersofallsizes.Thispositioncollaboratescloselywithdesign,engineering,projectmanagement,procurement,operations,andexternalpartnerstoensureestimatesreflectconstructability,marketconditions,andprojectrisktodeliverthemostefficientend-producttoourclientele.

Responsibilities&EssentialFunctions

ProjectScoping&PreliminaryAnalysis

• Developpreliminaryprojectscopesandconceptualdesignsthatalignwithcustomerandcompanyobjectives.
• Completepre-constructionsurveys,feasibilityreviews,andotherpreliminaryestimatingresearchanddocumentation.
• Conductthoroughreviewsofplansandspecificationstoensurecompletescopecoverageandaccuratetakeoffs.
• Reviewandinterpretcontractspecifications,drawings,andprojectdocumentstoensureestimatesalignwithprojectrequirements.

Estimating,Takeoffs,&CostDevelopment

• Performaccuratetakeoffsanddevelopcomprehensivepricingestimatesforequipment,labor,materials,subcontractors,andindirectcosts.
• Developgeneralconditions,allowances,exclusions,andcontingenciesaspartofprojectestimates.
• Obtainandapplyapplicablewagerates,includingprevailingwagerequirementsandlaborclassifications,basedonjurisdictionorcontractrequirements.
• Assistindevelopingpreliminaryconstructionduration'sandscheduletemplatestosupportpricingandproposaldevelopment.

Vendor&SubcontractorCoordination

• Preparesolicitationpackagesforvendorsandsubcontractors.
• Analyzesubcontractorandsupplierproposalsanddevelopcomparisonmatricesandestimatesummarysheets.

Cross-FunctionalCollaboration&RiskEvaluation

• PartnerwithDesignandOperationsteamstoanalyzeestimates,identifyrisks,assessconstructability,andpursuevalueengineeringandcost-savingopportunitieswhilemaintainingqualityandcompliance.
• Coordinatewithengineeringconsultants,designers,andinternalstakeholderstoclarifyscope,resolvediscrepancies,andgatherrequiredestimatinginputs.

Proposal&Pre-ConstructionSupport

• Supportproposaldevelopmentbycoordinatinginputs,preparingpricingnarratives,assistingwithchangeorders,andhelpingassemblefinalproposals.
• Attendpre-bidmeetings,sitewalks,andoccasionalcustomer-facingsitevisitsorpresentationstovalidateassumptionsandreviewproposedsolutions.

Experience

• 3-5yearsofprovenexperienceincommercialsolarestimation,constructionestimation,and/ordesign,orrelatedfieldpreferredorequivalentcombinationofeducationandrelevantworkexperienceconsidered.
• ExperienceestimatingUtilityScaleSolarprojects(electricalandmechanical).

Education

5-7years’experienceinconstruction.Experienceinestimating,costcontroland/orestimatingexperiencerelatedtoUtility-ScaleSolar,electrical,orotherrelatedconstructionexperience.
