Job summary

Sunstall Inc. in Baltimore is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to provide technical supervision and management of multiple projects, including day-to-day requirements, preparing portions of contract proposals and estimates, and ensuring quality and cost controls.

You will lead planning, scheduling (Gantt/CPM), establish budgets, review specifications, and coordinate with contracts and staff. A 4-year degree and 10+ years of DoD project leadership are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control.
• 10+ years managerial experience on DoD/military facilities projects.
• Understanding of Planning, Programming and Budgeting System.
• Experience with QuickReaction Capability (QRC).
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Fluent in English.
• Valid driver’s license and travel to job sites.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Read schedules (Gantt, CPM).
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises resources for project assignments and activities.

• Prepare discipline estimates by calculating takeoffs.

• Train and manage staff; sign timesheets and performance reviews.

• Maintain files of estimate figures and pricing data.

• Leadsindefiningandimplementationofprojectschedules,updatesschedulesasrequiredandperformsschedulecompressionorcrashingaswarranted.
• CoordinateswiththecontractCOoncontractrequirementsandconcernsasneeded.
• Trainsanddirectsemployeesworkactivities.Signstimesheets,preparesperformancereviews,handlesdisciplineproblemsandhasinputtohiringandfiring.
• Abletoperformalldutiestoensuretimely,courteous,andqualitysupporttocustomers/affiliates.
• Provideweeklyupdatesofprogram/projectleveltoseniormanagement.
• Preparetimeimpactanalysiswiththescheduleronaprogramlevel.
• ProvidemonthlyCPMcostloadedupdatestotheseniormanagementforinvoicing.
• Maintainscontinuityamongcorporate,divisionandlocalworkteamsbydocumentingandcommunicatingactions,irregularities,andcontinuingneeds.
• Optimizesoperatingresultsintermsofcost,methods,andpersonnel.
• Assurestheperformance,completenessandaccuracyofworkassignedunderthecontract.
• CoordinateswiththeSeniorManagementoncontractrequirementsandconcerns.
• Negotiates,creates,implements,andManagessubcontracts.
