Job summary

HappyGlobal Service seeks a Solution Engineer – Battery Energy Storage Systems to join its U.S. Solution Engineering team at the Manteno, Illinois facility (with a second location in Fremont, California).

You will support development of safe, reliable BESS solutions and work with customers, sales, product management, and global teams. The role requires a strong electrical or energy background, 2+ years in BESS or related sectors, and ability to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience in BESS or related sectors.
• Basic understanding of transformers, switchgear, power converters, and single-line diagrams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work with local and international teams and travel up to 20%.
• On-site work at the Manteno, Illinois facility.

Responsibilities

• Support development of technical solutions for utility-scale and C&I BESS projects.
• Prepare preliminary system configurations, diagrams, and equipment lists.
• Review project requirements and assist in selecting battery configurations.
• Assist with technical proposals, compliance matrices, and technical clarifications.
• Support sales during customer discussions and proposal development.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and global teams and participate in design reviews.
